Designed by Marco Alessi for Prandina, the Shuttle collection combines the elegance of blown glass with the latest technologies to create a range of sophisticated and contemporary fixtures.
Inspired by the historic NASA Space Shuttle system, the objective behind the Shuttle collection was to create a design with the longevity to match the enduring 30-year lifespan of NASA’s Space Shuttle. Combining a conical blown glass diffuser reminiscent of the Space Shuttle’s configuration with a sturdy aluminium structure and a system of reusable and easily removable components, the contemporary Shuttle collection has been designed to last.
The Shuttle collection consists of a pendant and table lamp. Both versions are available with a matt white or black metal structure and a choice of either an opal white or clear crystal diffuser. The S3 suspended version is rated IP20 and is intended for interior use, while the T3 table lamp is rated IP44 and is suitable for interior and exterior applications.
Shuttle T3 is fully portable, featuring a carry handle and a rechargeable battery equipped to provide up to 8 hours of illumination. The battery can be charged via the included USB-C wall charger or via a wireless desktop charger which is available as an accessory. Shuttle T3 features a touch sensor for on/off, dimming and colour temperature control, allowing the user to adjust the level of brightness and switch between 2700K, 3000K and 4000K colour temperatures. For maintenance and cleaning, Shuttle T3′s diffuser can be easily removed by simply unscrewing the carry handle.
Shuttle’s modern and minimal aesthetic complements a range of interior and exterior spaces while its diffused glow creates a comfortable and inviting ambience.
