Design: Decorum / Inline Interiors / Photography: Eventive Photography / The lighting scheme for Mrs Jones The Baker played an important role in the overall design of the store. Adjustable track luminaires with a high CRI (Colour Rendering Index) were selected to deliver quality illumination, highlighting the true colours and textures of the goods on display whilst providing targeted task lighting for staff behind the counter. Track lighting was a functional solution for the space, as the track was able to be mounted to the horizontal beams of the detailed feature ceiling. The flexibility of track also allows for the repositioning of luminaires as required for different displays. Surface mounted fixtures installed in rows between the ceiling details illuminate the customer service area with general downwards illumination. Slender aluminium profiles were selected to illuminate glass joinery and front counter details with continuous uniform lighting.
