AUSTRALIAN RED CROSS, CANBERRA

JONES NICHOLSON

Electrical Engineer: Jones Nicholson // Photographer: Murray Harris Electrical Engineers Jones Nicholson required a backlit luminaire to achieve an almost sun-like glow on the ceilings of the Australian Red Cross - Blood Donor Civic Centre in Canberra. We pitched the idea to our supplier Lamp, who were more than happy to accept the objective and deadline of six and a half weeks to create a custom product. Lamp were able to engineer a custom Mun Dark fitting with a higher lumen output equivalent to double that of the standard fitting. The luminaire is also finished with a custom colour – Yellow Pop Soft Sun from the Dulux colour palette. Lamp’s ability to engineer and deliver a custom product well before the deadline was truly incredible and is a great display of both their design and technological capabilities. The end result really does speak for itself. The beautifully finished luminaires emit a stunning soft glow, washing the centre of the yellow circular recesses in the ceiling creating ambient lighting within the space. // Product Featured: Custom Lamp Mun Dark ø300 WW – 6W 180lm (double output) Finished in custom Yellow Pop Soft Sun.
